The headlamp guard as a package is well constructed. It looks good once mounted on the bike. The only issue I had installing it was the two upper holes in the brackets wouldn't accept the stock BMW stainless shouldered fasteners, yet the instructions said they would. I tiny bit of work with a file took care of that, but it removed some of the black powder coating. I would like to have seen better quality fasteners included.

With the price of a BMW headlight, you definitely need to protect it! I looked at several headlight protectors before choosing the one from Lone Rider. It costs more than many of the others but, the quality of the product and the level of protection provided are superior. The ease of access to be able to clean the clear lense is important and a big time saver. The outer, metal protector pivots down and out of the way. I've put it to the test on some Backroad Discovery Routes (BDRs) and it works extremely well. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to friends.

This was a very nice addition to my GS 1250 Ralley edition cheap insurance to protect an expensive headlight. Looks great and well built and thought out design i highly recommend this to anyone who is on the fence. Instalation was a breeze to install.

Very nicely put together package. Installation was very frustrating - taping the nut did not work for me. Probably spent 3 hours chasing them all over the garage floor. I ended up using Gorilla Glue to adhere them in place and was done in 3 minutes. Highly recommend the instructions be changed. Finally installed the light guard looks fantastic and at the same time, provides outstanding protection.

I love the look of the product. I think the quality, functionality, and flexibility are top-notch. I didn’t love the installation process as much. The directions were okay, but hard to place in the context of the field of installation. Further, I was never able to fasten everything together as instructed by the directions (the backwards nylon nut). It’d be great to have that entire section pre-assembled.

I just wish LR offered a 'selective yellow' DRL cover, so it would match my Denali lights!

A very good engineered protector. Highly recommended, however you need to be a skilled DIY engineer to mount it without removing the front fairings on both sides. Still less job without doing it. Give it a try.

Shipping was fast. The quality of the product is generally good. There is a small scratch on the proxy glass piece, but I did not bother to contact your team as I don’t think it would affect the light output.
I also receive a face cover that I used daily now with my summer open face helmet.

Hands down the best headlight protection system around! Not only is it well made and fits precisely, it looks cooler than anything else out there. My installation was complicated by the OEM BMW aux light bar needing to use the same holes in the fairing, but because Lone Rider thought out their product well, it was easy (well ... TBH it was a little fiddly, but that's just because there were more pieces to hold onto) to install both the Lone Rider headlight guard and the light bar. Everything tightened right up and you can't tell it's not stock! Love the flip-down nature of the rock guard and its attention-getting amber lens - it is just all around a great idea, well executed and thanks Lone Rider for protecting my ridiculously expensive LED headlight!

I’m very pleased by the Headlight guard from Lone Rider. Beside it’s functional use, which is to protect my 2021 R1250GSA LED Headlights from rocks or other debris impacts, this guard is super cool. The honeycomb style of the grill makes this guard the nicest looking guard on the market, but it comes at a cost. The amber filter for the day running lights is an attention getter for oncoming traffic, and it complements my GSA 40-year edition scheme. Being able to flip down horizontally the grill at night is a very nice feature. Driving at night with the grill up results in too much light being shadowed. The installation presented a slight difficulty when I had to assemble the grill hinges. The metal sectors limiting the grill travel should be spot welded in place during manufacture. I dropped them and installed them backward several times until I finally figured the right way.

Installed the light guard - admittedly more for the looks than really needing it! Looks brilliant, and I can flip it down when I don't want it blocking the LED (for whatever reason). Wasn't super easy to install with the BMW original fog lights, but worked out quite ok. Also have the indicator / blinker guards which look beautiful and give the bike a "tougher" look.

The quality and finish of the HGX is of the highest level. The installation is simple, as the built is already done. Follow the guide, use tape on the two screws at bottom! Shipment was very fast, communication with LR just superb. I did chose the HGX vs cheaper and simpler alternatives, a great choice i conclude.
