On visual inspection fitment could be possible but not confirmed. Adjustments will be needed and closing mechanism needs to be placed to the left or right of the centre rack brace. Drilling fixed holes into the back plate maybe needed. We advise not to order the quick release system until fitment can be confirmed beyond doubt.

Rack Fitment Information:

The MotoBags Quick Release system can be easily adjusted to fit most racks on the market. They are designed to fit 18mm tube hoops.

The MotoBags Quick Release system work best on 18mm tubular racks that have no protruding elements to obstruct the MotoBags from attaching to the racks or obstruct the closing mechanism. The closing mechanism needs a minimum clearance of 13CM on the rack to be able to close as illustrated in the below image. The closing mechanism can be adjusted and custom holes can be added to the aluminum backplate to customize the closing mechanism location. Please seek a professional mechanic for assistance to customize the fitment.

The attachment system can be adjusted to fit different size racks and recommended for a perfect fitment.

Trouble Shooting

Due to manufacturing tolerances, surface finishing's and other variables that will block proper fitment, below is some solutions to known issues.

❗ Issue: MotoBags blocking and latch not closing on BMW OEM racks.

✔ Solution: Check for excess weld marks and remove. Remove with tools that will not leave residue and rust (i.e. do not use a steel rasp/file or wire brush). BMW OEM racks are made from stainless steel and electroplated. If other racks are steel, surface treatment maybe needed to protect from rust.

Fitment and Installation Instructions 

The fixed Puck System has been replaced by the MotoBags Quick Release System. In case you can't get hold of compatible racks for your bike, let us know when you order your set of MotoBags and we'll include the original Fixed Puck System.

The information below is only valid when using the fixed attachment system method to attach the MotoBags to racks.
